Haskell list construction from two given list

My favourite Skype friend Dinesh asked me write a haskell piece to create a list by taking ith element of two given list where i/2=0

for example : list1=[‘a’,’b’,’c’]
list2=[‘a’,’D’,’E’]
result=[‘b’,’c’.’D’,’E”]
this is haskell short answer :
costructList (_:x:xs) (_:y:ys) =x:y:costructList xs ys
costructList _ _ = []

D
